Brynn and I stopped by Luscious Boutique in Grafton yesterday and the owner, Mary Kippen, graciously gave us a tour. She’s made a lot of changes since our last visit.
The first thing we noticed was that the retail space has expanded significantly.
There are still plenty of antiques, gifts and new and vintage clothing — including women’s sizes — but the accessories department has expanded to include more bags and sunglasses as well as the earrings and cocktail rings I can’t get enough of.
Brynn was happy to see the shoe wall was still intact and as giant as ever. She scored a cute pair of gray heels she couldn’t wait to wear to work on her next shift.
Kippen opened the upstairs level to expand the furniture and decor selection.
Downstairs, there’s a cheery space with tables and chairs available for private parties and upcoming craft workshops.
This room will also provide seating for the new Snack Bar that will open in March. Kippen plans to serve candy, sodas and baked goods and may also serve sandwiches on Saturdays.
If you’re in town before the Snack Bar opens, you can sample candies from The Sweet Bar. The blackberry stick candy is good and will turn your tongue a fascinating shade of blue.
