Missoni Madness

Dress: Missoni by Target, Sunglasses: Target, Necklace: Vintage,

Color is all I want to wear this fall. And I love the colorful, boho, jet-set vibe of Missoni knitwear.

The Italian company is known for bold patterns — stripes, geometrics, abstract flowers and my favorite, their signature zigzag pattern — all done in a riot of colors. The shapes are simple and the designs are so bold that you barely need to accessorize.

Their regular line is a wee bit out of the my price range, so I was thrilled when they came out with the Missoni for Target Collection last year. (Me and the rest of the country, apparently — the partnership literally crashed Target’s website, sold out in record time and made grown women behave like children in Target stores across America.

We never got the black and white pieces in Fargo, so it’s always good to know what you’re looking for an Ebay, right?

So, given my addiction, imagine my excitement when I stopped by ID Inside Design in Minneapolis and found a treasure trove of Missoni goodness for the home. I love the idea of using a few well placed patterns to make a room pop.

Every item in the carefully curated store is an investment piece, but it’s always fun to plan and dream.

I mean seriously, how crazy would a Missoni bicycle be? Maybe someday…
