Street Style: Molly

Untitled

Dressing for outdoor events is a challenge. There are so many scenarios to consider — heat, wind, rain, potential tan lines, hours of standing.  And finding an outfit that can transition into clubwear later in the night is almost impossible. But Molly Ralston, a waitress at Sickies Garage in Fargo, pulls it off,  balancing a vivid tangerine dress and bold accessories with natural hair and melt-proof make-up. (Some friendly guys we met in the parking lot insisted that the matching bike would be the ultimate accessory and pointed us in the right direction. It was awfully pretty  – and an exact match! Who knew bikers had such an eye for color?)

Want to try Molly’s look? Start with a sundress with a simple silhouette, like Molly’s super affordable belted number (only $17!) from JCPenney. Just click here to get your own!

Add drama and movement with accessories that won’t compete with a ruffled neckline, like these swingy feather earrings and sunglasses from Charlotte Russe

…and a chunky cocktail ring from 3 Chicks Boutique, a local shop inside Baker Garden & Gift in Fargo.

Finish with nude platforms – like these cute options from Steve Madden – to make your legs look a mile long. Normally I’d recommend strappy sandals, but Molly was totally right to show off her tattoo. (It’s by Justin Zaun from , if you’re curious.)

What’s your go-to outdoor event outfit? Who is your favorite tattoo artist? What tattoo would you get?
