Street Style: Molly M.

I never plan my Street Style features — I just wait for inspiration to strike. And when I spotted Molly McDermott at Family Life Thrift Store in Fargo, I knew her look was perfect before she even turned around.

Molly — a Moorhead resident who sells vintage clothing online at Vice Thigh Vintage and works as a consultant at the Fargo Sephora store — was a little surprised that I wanted to photograph her “galactic” Sephora uniform and “leather-on-leather” look, but I love the way she makes the uniform hers with a tough bag, boots, a strong lip and striking hair.

But it was her outerwear that really caught my eye. Molly’s cold weather gear was a breath of fresh air on an unseasonably cold spring day. Her leather coat is sharp with great buttons and the handmade infinity scarf from Lulu and Loie is the ultimate winter statement piece.

And if you’re in Fargo today, head to Sephora for the Up All Night event from Noon to 5 p.m. You’ll get a free after dark look and a free gift from Urban Decay. Appointments are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome.
