Street Style: Sonja

Bemidji Street Style dreads and skinny jeans

I met Sonja Clemenson when we were both doing a little vintage shopping at Twice But Nice Consignment in Bemidji, Minnesota. Sonja’s a student and massage therapist who was back in town for the weekend and sporting a mix of basics, hair twists and earthy accent pieces.

I swear, Minnesota natives can rock moccasins like nobody’s business. I was telling my friend Liz this on the drive to Bemidji, and two out of three of the people I photographed that day were wearing them. (In case you missed it last week, you can see Paul’s take on moccasins here.) I’m a Minnesota native too, but I seem to have somehow missed out on this particular part of my birthright.

I love how the light in the shop gives Sonja an otherworldly glow that that no amount of editing seems to fix, like she’s some kind of boho angel.
