The Taco Bros. Food Truck is Back In Business!

After a few days of drama that halted operations, I’m happy to help spread the word that the Taco Bros. Food Truck is back in business. This is excellent news for my corn tortilla habit, but downright dangerous for my wallet.

I checked it out on a whim last Thursday and both the food and the atmosphere were excellent.

In the time it took for me to grab an order of chicken tacos, I was invited to an art exhibit, got into a passionate discussion about butter fried corn tortillas with one of the cooks and talked started talking to Blake and Ashley, the couple ahead of me in line. After 20 minutes of chatting with them about golf, fashion, art and advertising I walked away with a ton of story ideas — including this coming Sunday’s Street Style post! —  and the feeling that I’d had a lunchtime adventure, an experience that felt social and novel and worlds away from the one I would have had if I’d just heated up leftover pizza and ate at my desk.

So the next time you feel that urge to eat at your desk or to make the same old thing for dinner, just don’t. Have an adventure. If you don’t know what to order, just ask for the “I Trust You Bro Platter” for $7.50. Octavio will glance up from the grill, size you up and hand you what you’re meant to eat. It’s worth it.

The Empire is still a temporary spot, so click on the link above to find Taco Bros. on Facebook and keep up to date on their latest offers and locations. Or just glance at the side of the truck for a fun, low-tech update!
