A year ago today, I wrote my very first post about the Plains Art Museum Gala. It took me a ridiculously long time (hours — that’s how clueless I was) and when I hit the publish button I remember feeling both proud and terrified.
I’m mean seriously — what had I gotten myself into? I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know how to upload a photo. I didn’t know the first thing about programming or design or how to get the word out about my blog.
I knew I wanted — no, needed — to write on a regular basis. And I knew I had something to say. I just wasn’t sure if anyone would want to read it.
But you did. Thanks so much for reading, commenting and supporting this crazy idea I had. You’ve made this blog come alive and given me great ideas. Your input led directly to the In Studio series on local artists. I’m really excited for my second year. 2013 will bring more Monthly Giveaways and more guest posts from other local writers that I’ve come to admire over the past few months.
