“The wrong shall fail, the right prevail With peace on earth, good will to men”
– I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
The past month has has been dramatic and not terribly filled with peace. The shorter days sometimes bring more than just physical darkness. Nevertheless, I hope for peace and stillness for you this week, whether or you’re celebrating or not. The days may be shorter, but our human craving for light and color and connection — even if we have to create them ourselves — is ancient and, I think, very wise. And despite all the craziness, there’s still so much to be thankful for.
As for Derrick and myself, we’re spending time with family this Christmas and looking forward to starting our own little family in June. We don’t know if we’ll be having a boy or a girl, but we’re looking forward to that surprise and many more.
Wishing you light and peace in this holiday.
