Kittson is Coming to Downtown Fargo

Fargo fashionistas, rejoice — another boutique is coming to downtown Fargo this summer!

Kittsona will open a new North Dakota location at 610 Main Avenue in Fargo. (Yes, the name changed to “Kittsona” along the way.)

The shop’s lease begins on June 1 and owners Nicole Johnson and Tessa Himey are hoping for a mid-July opening so they can take advantage of extra visibility during the Downtown Street Fair in July.

The store will stock women’s clothing, shoes and accessories in a luxurious atmosphere. “We definitely want to emit a feeling of sophistication and elegance,” said Nicole.

“Each one of our stores has a great big chandelier and elegant fixtures and comfortable seating. We want women to feel like they can be in a really high class atmosphere with top quality customer service, but then have our clothing be very reasonable in price too.”

Nicole and Tessa already run two other shops in the state, one in Bismarck and one in Grand Forks. Nicole says fans of those stores can expect a similar experience, albeit one that’s more tailored to what the Fargo clientele wants and needs.

“We’re going to continue to be very broad in what products we offer,” said Nicole. “If there are more specific trends in a couple of months, we’ll definitely cater to that.”
